Dr. Kris Teigen is the owner of Aberdeen Dental. She is a dentist practicing in Aberdeen, South Dakota, and has been practicing in the community for over 30 years.
Dr. Teigen began her journey at the University of South Dakota, where she earned her degree in biology with a minor in chemistry. She continued her education at the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry, graduating with distinction. During her time there, she was recognized with the American Association of Women Dentists Award for her leadership, dedication, and commitment to academic excellence.
Since returning home in 1994, Dr. Teigen has devoted her career to caring for the Aberdeen community through Aberdeen Dental. In 2019, she led the transition to a new, state-of-the-art facility, ensuring patients have access to modern technology in a space designed to feel comfortable, welcoming, and supportive. She truly believes dentistry goes beyond treating teeth—it is about building relationships, earning trust, and helping each patient feel seen, valued, and confident in their care.
Dr. Teigen is known not only for her clinical skill, but for her genuine compassion and kindness toward every patient she treats. She takes the time to listen, understand, and create a positive experience for those who may feel anxious or uncertain. Her approach reflects a deep commitment to serving others and making a meaningful difference in people’s lives.
Outside of the office, Dr. Teigen enjoys traveling with her family, spending time in her flower garden, and capturing the beauty of wildlife and landscapes in Yellowstone. She is a proud member of the American Dental Association and the South Dakota Dental Association, and she continues to give back to her profession and community in meaningful ways.
